Who is Sterling Hawkins?
Sterling Hawkins is a business leader and investor living at the crossroads between physical store and online. Retailer for 5 generations his name is synonymous with innovation, focused on retail and consumer. He currently leads the innovation portion of the Center for Advancing Retail & Technology (CART), annually evaluating more than a thousand new tech companies in the retail sector.
In 2004, Sterling co-founded, launched and sold its first retail technology company, Convena. Since then, he has worked with his clients on best practices in consumer marketing, loyalty and retail technology, including Mitsubishi, M & M Shop, Procter & Gamble and many others. Through the CART, he has collaborated with universities such as Stanford, Cornell and the University of Texas to integrate the future of retail into their programs, as well as a marketing channel for relevant startups.
Sterling spends its time mobilizing a network of startups, investors and retailers, actively shaping the future of retail e-commerce to improve business, communities and the human condition. Currently living in Los Angeles, Sterling speaks at business conferences around the world, including ABC Money, Comstock, RetailWire and Forbes.
