Graduate of the Toulouse School of Management and the University of Groningen (NL) in Strategy and International Management, Bastien started his career within the Safran Group, attached to the Strategy Department.
Its mission is to identify trends and prepare the markets of tomorrow. After an experience in consulting and a start-up he joined in 2016 Cdiscount to participate in the creation of an ambitious innovation direction: to create the link between the actors of the ecosystem (startups, big players of the tech, funds investments, accelerators) and Cdiscount. Passionate about the relationship between startups and large groups, he has structured the "test and learn" approach which announces in 2017-2018 hundred experiments with startups.
Cdiscount.com is a subsidiary of the Casino Group. Leader of the non-food e-commerce in France, the site achieves a volume of business of nearly 3.6 billion euros in 2018, including its Marketplace which is growing steadily with more than 10,000 merchants partners.
